Surrey Raiders Field Hockey Club was established in 2014. We regularly play in the Vancouver Mens Field Hockey League's recreational division from September through March, and compete in summer tournaments each year. We take part in community events to give back locally and support the next generation in getting active — in the summers, we run hockey camps for community organizations such as the Stick Together program. The team practices every Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Tamanawis Park, and our goal is to grow the club with a youth program.

What participants have said about our community hockey camps.
Before this program, I felt lonely and isolated. Stick Together gave me something positive to look forward to. I learned stretching, how to handle a hockey stick, and my eye-body coordination improved. My overall well-being increased, and I truly enjoyed the sport and the friendships.
I had never played hockey before and felt nervous, but the environment was welcoming and non-judgmental. I gained confidence with every session and now feel more open to participating in community sports.
Stick Together gave me healthy routine and positive focus. Being active and talking openly with others supported my mental health and recovery.
This was my first time playing field hockey. I used the session to relax, recharge, and move my body. I felt safe, included, and encouraged to try something new.
